# Our Learning & Content Methodology

> Content is organized around deliberate practice, active retrieval, and timely feedback, with clear boundaries between universal principles, local rules, and work that requires a qualified person.

Learning reference only: electrical codes, permits, inspection bodies, and licensing rules differ by region. This course is not a substitute for local code, licensed training, permits, or authority requirements. Before any hands-on work, de-energize, verify absence of voltage, and follow local regulators/AHJ and employer procedures.

## Practice the real skill

Each lesson starts from jobsite language, an observable symptom, or a troubleshooting decision—not a pile of definitions.

## Drill correctable subskills

Vocabulary, diagram reading, meter choice, stop points, and fault reasoning are practiced separately before being combined.

## Answer before feedback

Learners make a decision first, then inspect the explanation, evidence, and next step instead of mistaking recognition for mastery.

## Retrieve across contexts

The same terms and safety principles return in lessons, home checks, practice labs, and quizzes.

## Evidence, safety, and update standards

1. Prefer regulators, standards bodies, manufacturer manuals, and original technical references.
2. Separate universal principles from jurisdiction-specific rules instead of presenting one region as a global answer.
3. Define stop points before de-energized observation, reasoning, or practice steps.
4. Correct errors and update the page date when the content changes; dates are not refreshed cosmetically.
5. Page updated records substantial changes to content, resource links or structured information, not a professional review date. Dates are maintained per page and never refreshed by a build or visit. Unverified historical first-publication dates are omitted.
6. Elect Learn maintains the content. No independent professional review is recorded or claimed, and OSHA, IEC and manufacturers are not listed as reviewers. A completed review should identify the reviewer, applicable qualifications, date and pages covered in a public record.
7. The AI study helper copies public material for terminology, bilingual expression and comprehension practice. Check original sources, jurisdiction limits and stop-work conditions. It excludes learner answers and drafts and sends nothing automatically to outside services.
